Middleby Meets: Jack Robson

Jack Robson

Our BDM for the North, Jack Robson, has been with Middleby UK since before we were even called Middleby UK! Get to learn more about Jack, his love for this innovative company and what he gets up to outside of work.

Tell us a bit about yourself.

This is my second tour with Middleby and this is either my 17 or 18th year back – and I worked here for 6 years on my first stint. (When I joined it was called Frialator International, part of the Smurfit Group). I’m a proud Cumbrian living in exile in Warrington with my family and dog. I’m also a huge Carlisle Utd supporter. We enjoy long dog walks and family time – my 9 yr old son takes up the vast majority of that! I have worked in this industry just about all of my working life and spent a few years working with a couple of other catering equipment manufacturers before coming back to Middleby UK for my second stint.

What’s your favourite thing about working at Middleby UK?

My favourite thing about working at MUK is the sheer amount of innovative solutions we can offer our customers, as well as being a market leader.

How long have you been at Middleby?

17 years – on my second tour!

What’s your favourite product?

Well my favourite product has to be ANYTHING American heavy duty (Pitco, MagiKitch’n, Blodgett and Middleby Marshall) but we have way too many to pick favourites – it’s like asking me to pick a favourite child!

What do you get up to outside of work?

We have a campervan so enjoy camping on the beach edge and I am a VW enthusiast (MK1 Golf especially). I also enjoy Football and Rugby (both codes).

And finally, just for fun, what’s your favourite food?

I am very lucky in my job to get to try lots of different products/foods but I think Italian food would have to be my absolute favourite.

Thanks Jack, it’s been really great to learn more about you and hear more about your journey with Middleby UK!
